Valentine`s Day today.
I hope you all have had a nice day!:)
Most shops have decorated more than just the windows, and here is one I passed a couple of days ago.

Beautifully done!
Great to discover your blog - I love Norway, but don't get to visit often enough.

Not very romantic, but along the same theme, the word verification that came up for this comments was 'bedpan'...

I'm surprised to see Valentines in Norway. I don't know anything about the tradition, but somehow I thought that it was an American-only tradition started by greeting card manufacturers!

Jack, you are right. But many people here have "taken" this idea and made it in to something they celebrate. For some it might be just FUN to have celebrations and a party in the dark winter months.
Or it might be mostly for the shops to have a better sales result??
But it is all over Scandinavia...... and a growing business.

OK, it's a business, but people are not forced into it. I really don't care about the holiday, but I enjoy all the displays!
