I remember this young boy and his music from last summer....
Today I used pen and paper, got his name and e-mail and had a little chat with him on the corner where he impressed passers by who seemed to give him quite a bit of money.
Well done, Karsten!
At the age of 14 it is not that easy to get a summer job, but he has created his own. Even traveling all the way from Varhaug, which is about a 1 hour drive from Stavanger.

Love it! Good for him.
He sure has a lot of initiative. How does a 14 year old boy travel an hour for his gig?
excellent scene!! regards
Nice image, great story of a young chap with initiative. But there seems to be little traffic in the street. Did he make enough to make this worthwhile?
Cute street corner he selected. Is he a good musician? Hopefully, he's not only making some money but improving his saxophone skills. I hope he sees your post!
Good for him!
Like it. We're great fans of street musicians, though many underestimate what it takes to be able to play well without too much repetition. Congrats to this young guy.
A perfect portrait... for both the kids!
This is such a cute photo! Great capture.
Once again a splendidly photo, Gunn!
In Denmark we have several example of street musicians later getting a hight position in bands/jazz, classic etc. More than one became worldwide known!!!
Nice little story and photo!
What I especially like about this photo is that while one boy is honing his musical skills, the other boy is honing his appreciation for music. Nice capture.
I just love watching and enjoying (and of course capturing) buskers. Europe seems to have a lot more of them than North America, and Asia even less. Your photo is delightful, not only the young saxophonist, but the little boy showing his appreciation, and the cobblestones are charming.
