It takes months if not years to do roadworks, but at the end it looks nice and most of us forget all the hassle....
Anyway, this is what it looks like for many people who have got the road closer in to their houses.
At least most people get some sort of a barrier to reduce the noise from the traffic, and a bit more privacy...

Yes, the sky is lovely. We are jealous, as we live on an unadopted road which the local authority does not maintain. It's a bit of a mess at the moment and so are the pavements.
