Any ideas what this is?
And before anyone might suggest it, I will give you a clue, it has nothing to do with volcanoes or volcanic ash.

First guess is the element water, cause I think I could discover some beautiful water drops within the picture :) But it is quite hard to guess where the pretty "light-effects" come from???

Yes, I'm thinking of shallow water also. I can't quite decide if it looks endless or if it suddenly drops off. Anway, "it's" a very nice photo!

I would say water, but really can't imagine what is happening. The effect is really great!

Sand 'waves' made by water? :-)

Looks like ripply water...or I think JM may be right, sand and water juxtaposed.
Love the light changing from golden to dark. Fantastic photograph.

If it were here, I would say it was a sea bed.

It looks like the water at night with someone shining a flashlight or a headlight on it.

I am very curious to find out!

Actually, it was a dull photo of the sand, the waves and the water creating a pattern..... I just "played" with the light and colors using Photoshop... and suddenly it was more interesting:-)

Well, I'm too late, but I was going to say it looks like sand at the beach.

I was curious to know the answer. Again, a very good image.
