I love any reasonable contrast and this is a quite good one. Nice effect of the typical dark red (this color has a name?) surrounding all that glass.
I think the old and new look good together. Nice shot!
I agree - there's a pleasing contrast between these buildings. Good that the town planners are prepared to be adventurous.
