There are so many shops in and around Stavanger where you can buy handmade unique things to yourself or to anyone you want to surprise with something special.

One of my favorite places to go is to the MingarWalker glassblowing studio, south of Stavanger.

Take a look at the link.

AND WHEREVER YOU ARE, HAVE A NICE WEEKEND! :-)

Nice photo, Gunn. Glass-blowing kinda blows my mind. It is truly an art! Love to watch it. You're fortunate to have such a place in your area!

Glass blowing is a great art - just be careful not to inhale. Some great photos on this blog.

Oh, I wish I could be there to watch her work!

I have always wanted to try this! There is a place in Oregon, USA that allows you to "assist" in making a blown glass object. These artists produce some beautiful things!

This must be wonderful to see and to photograph...

Excellent! I was lucky enough to live and study in Venice, 3 or 400 years ago or so, and I never grew tired of watching the glassblowers in Murano. I'd say glassblowing is one of the higher forms of art, should I have to categorize.
