South of Stavanger.

Out walking on the beach, a side path leads to a permanent camping/holiday area, probably a farmers property.
Perhaps a place people go to for the weekend ?
A quiet place, only 30 minutes by car south of the city centre.
Some sort of a caravan club, with common areas. Some had built small cottages as an extension.

Someone must have taken advantage of the good weather and the free camping.
I passed this tent on my walk in the woods.
They were probably still asleep, it was 07.30 in the morning...

These sporty young Polish guys had been to Kjerag, and were planning to go up to the Pulpit Rock.
Well done  Albert, Tomasz and Adam from Skarzysko Kamienna, who I met at Mosvangen Camping.

They were from Bavaria, (near Munich.) in southern Germany.

No, I did not use my very rusty German, we used English.

They had arrived from Kristiansand yesterday, and had plans to go up to Pulpit Rock.

I hope you will have a good nights sleep without too many cars in and out of the area.

We had more rain this afternoon/evening, but it will be "summer" for a few days from Friday...

Yesterday I said " Hipp-Hipp-Hurra" to HELMA & PETER (Arndts) from Bemmel in the Netherlands.

They celebrated their 33 th. Anniversary as a married couple! Congratulations!! They were in Stavanger on holiday, and had been here for 3 days, continuing with a trip today to the famous Pulpit Rock, then moving on to Flom, Sognefjord and Telemark. You can see their car and bicycles in the background at Mosvangen Camping.

They enjoyed their holiday and had been visiting Kvitsøy, an island outside Stavanger, The Iron Age Farm, and the Norwegian Oil Museum as well as the centre of Stavanger.

This was their second time in Norway. Ten years ago they were to Lillehammer and continued north on a family holiday with kids in the car.

I hope they will enjoy the rest of their holiday too.
