There are busy times at Mosvangen Camping, where THE NEW GAMLINGEN is being built.
A public outdoor swimming pool.
For half a century GAMLINGEN has been on the other side of the motorway, and it has been a very popular place for many people.

What would I miss?

What would I miss about Stavanger?

The answer is the places where it is possible to go for walks.
The open spaces, the small lakes and paths around the woodland areas.
Also the coastline, the beaches, the north sea and the fjords.
No matter what the season, or, what the weather is like, there are places like this
around the lake Mosvannet where you can walk and enjoy the beauty....

On my walk before lunch today I saw some people having fun!!
It was a group of people working for the council at EMbo, (an institution for teenage refugees), who were out on a team building session. They were in a hurry, and had several other tasks to do around the lake Mosvannet.
I hope you won!!

They enjoyed the view too....

One place that seems to not freeze over so easily.

Some people like jogging. I prefer a nice walk.

Most of the snow has gone now.

This is an image from a few days back. From here it is about 15 -20 minutes walk in to the city centre.
