Street musicians.

They were playing wonderful gipsy music and smiled to all passers by.
They were under a roof because of a bit of rain, and if you look at the decorations above the door, you might think the same as me, it looks like cream /cake. Inside is a bakery, also selling ice cream cornets....
Well it is still not hot, most days lately have been around +13C to +15C.
Plenty of rain but a bit of sunshine from time to time.

Russian music.

Street musicians are not all the same, some are entertainers, lively and happy, some are really sad, and the same with the music. Our narrow streets have more and more people coming from abroad who sing and play.
This group came from Novgorod in Russia.
Nice music.
Lots of people stopped and listened and had a glance at the unusual instrument on the left.

I remember this young boy and his music from last summer....
Today I used pen and paper, got his name and e-mail and had a little chat with him on the corner where he impressed passers by who seemed to give him quite a bit of money.
Well done, Karsten!
At the age of 14 it is not that easy to get a summer job, but he has created his own. Even traveling all the way from Varhaug, which is about a 1 hour drive from Stavanger.

The sign says; "Beware of snow falling from the roof"....It is still cold, but most people do not seem to be that bothered.
This is SEAN, a Norwegian guy who is also half Irish.
He played classical guitar so beautifully, and it is a long time since I have heard such nice music in the streets!! He should have been sponsored by the city council!!
I asked if he was working as a musician, and he told me that he is a music teacher at a private school. Good luck Sean!
