Not many people on the ferry from Vassøy to Stavanger tonight.
The journey from the island back to town took 20 minutes.

"Rygerbuen", the ferry to Vassøy, one of the small islands just outside Stavanger city centre.

"Wow, this is really nice" was my first thought when I saw this on my "Design tour" last Friday.

The sculpture is made by a Dutch guy, JOS OTTEN who I have never seen or heard about before. He is a very very talented artist, who is living on a small island that is just a few minutes journey by boat from the city centre here.

Yesterday I showed you a photo of a brick house, today I will show you something different.

These houses are out on an island called Vassøy, just 15 minutes from the centre by ferry. 

I would recommend anyone visiting our city to take the ferry over, and go for a stroll and take a look for themselves. It is a very beautiful place and feels like being in the countryside.
