Artistic work by school kids.

This is some of the artistic work I saw at the Rudolf Steiner school which I visited yesterday.
I seriously think that individuality and creativity is more important there than many other kindergartens and schools I have been to. There is too much duplication, endless copies of the same things, made at the ordinary schools.

I might be wrong about this.

There are some teachers around who are brilliant at giving their pupils lots of encouragement and input, and some teachers who have lost their creativity, and can kill children's talents forever.

D.I.Y. BREAD.

Today was the annual Christmas Market at the Rudolf Steiner School.
I had "gløgg" (Mulled wine) and "pinnebrød" (Bread cooked on a twig.)
Here you see the progress, some bread dough cooking on the twig, and one finished bread.
Tasted good!

Rudolf Steiner school.

All the years since I left school I have never ever missed or even thought about the school bell!
Seriously it was loud, noisy and out of tune....

Passing this little school ( Rudolf Steiner) I heard this amazing little new sound from what was probably a small hand held, or a tiny bell held between a thumb and finger?. It was like music to my ear......

The schools here started their one week winter holiday today.
We have had a nice day with sunshine, no snow, but there is plenty of snow up in the mountains and lots of other places around in Norway.

Italian Cafe at the Xmas market.

Some of the pupils at the Rudolf Steiner school had setup an Italian Cafe, with quality food and nice proper Italian coffee. I asked if they learned Italian at school, but no, they learned Spanish.
Anyway, they are off to ROME on a school trip soon. Lucky young people!
The lunch was yummy and full of garlic. Hopefully they got their travel budget in the plus after the Xmas market at the weekend.

The Steiner school.

As I said in yesterdays posting, the xmas market is on the whole weekend.
More music, more entertainment and more to buy.
It looks like we will have a cold, but sunny day here in Stavanger.

An annual event happening this weekend.
Christmas market at the Steiner school.
I don`t know who they were but these people COULD sing.

Exhibitions of schoolwork, the sale of home made, as well as school made, food and products.
Pony riding, fun for kids and a nice place to be.

Yesterday, I visited the Christmas Market at the Rudolf Steiner school.

Nice to see and buy things, and also nice to see the pupils work.
Look at this classroom. The architecture is so unique and aesthetically nice!

We have had extremely bad weather and I really felt the STORM today!

This is the "Steiner" school.
A private school with what I find to be an interesting architecture!

Yesterday as well as today, has been busy at the private (Rudolf) Steiner school and kindergarden where they hold the annual Christmas marked.
There were sales of hand made products, many nice and artistic gifts. Pupils as well as parents and teachers entertained visitors. I had my lovely "aebleskiver"... yummy!!:-) And had a little shopping tour around in the very special buildings. One day I will show you some photos of the architecture.
