Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

Not many people have a big villa and a big garden like this here in Stavanger. Most people who have big gardens build a second house. I like this villa and these wonderful old trees.
It is set high off the ground. I wonder why. Some houses in coastal areas in the USA are set high in case of storms. Maybe that is the explanation here, too.
It's is interesting to note that this is called a "villa." In our area, a villa is a smaller structure, sometimes attached to another. We live in a villa - which is actually a twin-home; two identical homes flipped.
To me this looks like a grand old house; very large, and very beautiful!
That's a gorgeous house. It looks so peaceful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy it must be to arrive in the evening, calling this home. Beautiful.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Friday.
