It is getting colder, and I think it is time to buy some "garn" as we call the material used for knitting.... I don't intend starting on a huge project, but they had some nice jumpers etc. that looked both nice and warm in the shop I visited.
Now knitting has become trendy again, and many people attend courses all over Norway.
Is it that time again? :(
ReplyDeleteOh, I want that reindeer jumper! I once had a big jumper in this kind of warm wool - no reindeers but a traditional pattern. It was so cosy.
ReplyDeleteLooks warm and woolly! When I was a kid, I 'learnt' the basics of knitting, but I figured that my talents lay elsewhere. Occasionally I admired people putting tedious meetings to good use by having their knitware handy...
ReplyDeleteYup! It's gettin' to be sweater time in the Northeast too!
ReplyDeleteThese wools are lovely but I need to stay out of the yarn shops. My knitting skills are s-l-o-w
ReplyDeleteI love that reindeer!
Det ligner en poncho - minder om gode, gamle hippiedage :-D
ReplyDeleteI admire anyone who can knit. And I believe it's kind of therapeutic as well as useful. I used to get that feeling grooming my Old English Sheepdogs, which of course took hours. And some people spun their wool. Not me!
ReplyDeleteAlthough my grandmother knits loads, I have never managed to learn it. Some of my friends knits as well, and I have decided I will buy some garn and strikkepinner and have them knit me a scarf or some mittens! The sweather looks so warm and nice!
ReplyDeleteColder here is long sleeved shirts at night...
ReplyDeletePoor Mr Poet!
ReplyDeleteI could wear that if you made one for me!
