Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

It is "Valentines Day", and I thought that this decorated floor sums it up: "ELSKER DEG" is "LOVE YOU" and as it says on the window to the left, "it is personal" :)
Yes, a nice addition, and I love romance, but I'm with the John the cynic. They introduced Grandmothers' Day in France about 15 years ago, then Secretaries' Day, though I don't think any of them do as well as Mothers' day and Valentine's Day.
Thanks for the translation! Great post for Valentine's Day! It reminds me of one of my favorite poems:
Cloths of Heaven by William Butler Yeats
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
Happy Valentine's Day, Gunn!
ReplyDeleteThis is very nice. I "heart" it!
ReplyDeleteBe careful not to step those love heats!
ReplyDeleteVery nice post to begin my morning with. I know something useful in Noorwegian and it's not even difficult to remember. Nice picture either!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm a cynic, but I can't help thinking it's the card companies who keep it alive.
ReplyDeleteA nice addition for today.
