Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

We still have some farm land around the city. But many of the farmers have sold their farms to the council who have again sold it to development companies. This is a view towards Jåttå.
Very beautiful and solemn shot. Love the fog, wrapping the trees like a cloak.
It's quite unfortunate that a conservation society hasn't spoken up or an independently wealthy person (like Beatrix Potter in her day!) hasn't made a point to purchase and protect the land.
Nice shot; it looks pretty cold. I don't know what's going to happen when all the farms are turned into developments. Where will the food come from?
ReplyDeleteA shot to make you want to dress up warmly and go for a long walk.
ReplyDeleteThe same development is happening in Canada just outside Toronto. So many farms are becoming homes and stores!

This is a very restful scene with the fog.
ReplyDeletePaintings of Caspar David Friedrich come to mind. Geat image with very soft colors.
ReplyDeleteOh this is so beautiful pity people have to leave it.
