Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

Mathilde Christiane.
If you have been to Sola Strand Hotell, you might have noticed this; Mathilde Christiane, looking at you from the reception area. She was at the front of a Swedish shipwreck found back in 1822 on the coast just outside the hotel.
This is wonderful. I know whereof I speak, too. Growing up, my Swedish parents were convinced that I was a Swedish shipwreck. Or something like that! :)
An eye catching addition to the place!
ReplyDeleteFine looking figurehead. They were on most all sailing ships of the 19th Century. This one is in great shape for being on a wrecked ship.
