Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

M/S ROGALAND
M/S ROGALAND,
a passenger ship built back in 1929,
seen at the home port STAVANGER.
An old steamer? Very beautiful craft. My grandfather came to the US from Sweden via England in 1893 on an old steamer. He was 17 and alone. No wonder he was such a crabby old guy when I knew him! :) Nah, I'm just kidding. I think he wife made him crabby. Heh, heh.
It looks like a sturdy and seaworthy boat.
ReplyDelete1929? Wow, I didn't suppose it is so "old".

ReplyDeleteOne could probably write up a good mystery story about a boat like this.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautifully maintained ship. I'd love to travel on it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty!
