A long time ago this building used to be a bakery.
I can remember the SMELL when the bus stopped at the nearby bus stop very early in the morning, the smell of freshly baked products filling the bus as soon as the doors opened.
Today it looks like it is a driving school.
I wonder what that little room at the very top is used for. Bet it has a nice view :).
ReplyDeleteFrom a bakery to a driving school--- How the mighty have fallen! I like the picture--- great composition.
ReplyDeleteYes, the smell of a bakery. My first apartment that I ever lived in when I moved out from my parents was a door down from a bakery. Always could smell whatever was baking. When we moved to Ireland, there was a bread plant in our town of Ballinrobe and once again the smell covered the town. Great memories sometimes are the smells we encounter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the well wishes concerning my cataract surgery. It went well and I'm back home now.
I really like the architecture!
ReplyDeleteIt would be much nicer as a bakery! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful building no matter what it produces. I like the bakery thing best, though!
ReplyDeleteI love bakery smell :) Arianna
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of an awkward little building, but that is a large part of its charm.
ReplyDeleteNice-looking building.
