Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

Old Stavanger.
Old Stavanger is close to the harbour, and has some picturesque small white old wooden houses.
Here is a big cruise ship arriving.
Kudos to you, Gunn! This is a wonderful composition. By including the ship up close, you give us an idea as to how big it is relative to the houses in the background. And the houses, with your long lens, look like they're stacked upon one another. Overall, it's a delightful photograph. Be proud!
Those cruise ships make everything look small. Those homes must have a beautiful view of the harbour.
ReplyDeletewow, that ship is massive compared to the homes! and i agree with bill, what a view!
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting shot!

ReplyDeleteThat ship looks overwhelming!
ReplyDeleteThe contrast in the size of the ship against the houses is immense!
ReplyDeleteLovely capture!
Just love cruise ships.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,

What a contrast between the old houses and the new ship !
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic capture! The ship looks massive compared to the houses on the shore.
ReplyDeleteI think that the people who live in Old Stavanger must feel a bit over shadowed by this cruise ship ?
