Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

A corner shop.
Still possible to buy food etc. on a Sunday.
But mainly from small shops, like this little corner shop at Storhaug.
There is a huge discussion going on as to whether shops should be open on Sundays or not...
We've had it for years here. I don't know if it really encourages people to shop more- they're still spending about the same amount of money regardless.
Much the same in my small town area.
ReplyDeleteWe settled that where we live in the 1950's. The Sunday Open Shops won. Now people don't think much about it.
ReplyDeleteWow! I was going to say, like Lois, that issue got settled here, if not in the 50s, then certainly by the 70s and 80s.
ReplyDeleteAlmost all the supermarkets are open on Sunday morning here.
