Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

Sad to see.
Sometimes it is just sad to see how some people "decorate" our city.
It's hard to tell the difference between graffiti and street art. To me, the top picture has an artistic quality to it and perhaps even a message by the artist. The jumble of letters/signs below it doesn't make any sense to me. But they both are done on a without permission on someones else's property, so are they both graffiti or are they both art?
The hand is actually quite nice, although I had to enlarge it to make sure the first finger wasn't cut off! Too bad about the graffiti though. Many parts of Berlin look must worse though.
Graffiti often does not enhance a wall but a commissioned mural is quite something else. I find it so interesting that both you and I featured hands on the 26th post!
Someone needs to find and channel that talent toward more positive and constructive ends.

ReplyDeleteNot very nice...
ReplyDeleteThe hand is a very poignant image and made me ponder the meaning of it. There was a real street artist at work.
ReplyDeleteThe scribbles on the box below belong to the undesirable category. It takes no talent and effort to accomplish what is essentially damage.

ReplyDeleteThey don't show the slightest respect for their communities.
