Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

That used to be BIG business here in Stavanger.

The detail work is quite beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHow times change, great capture.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely makes me wonder what happened to cause the industry to shift away from Stavanger.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful detail! And such a lovely blue sky!
ReplyDeleteI guess canning is/was popular in areas close to the water.
ReplyDeleteSo those really were Stavanger sardines I was eating all that time? :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is a fine sign. If canning isn't happening much in Stavanger now, I wonder where it DOES happen.
ReplyDeleteA very nice relief, and I am wondering about what Jack just said...
ReplyDeleteA beautiful piece of art.
