Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

Ascension Day.
Today is a Christian Holy Day in Norway.
Ascension Day, and most shops and offices have been closed.
Lots of people have also taken tomorrow free from work and gone away for a long weekend.
Grace, It is gardening today and tomorrow, before the rain.... Sunny, and it´s the first day I tried wearing a t-shirt outside, in 2015. (+ 9C) I am not going back to work until Monday. Oslo and Bergen are high up on my list for a weekend break. Time will show.
It doesn't get a public holiday here, though churches will make it a theme on the nearest Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny! You'd think maybe people would get into the "spirit" of the day and fly. :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a restful, long weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy long weekend Gunn, are you going away for the weekend?
ReplyDeleteNice when religious holidays allow everyone a day off! Thanks for your comment - I got a kick out of taking a school boat!
