HAPPY FASTELAVEN!
Fastelaven is celebrated 7 weeks before Easter Sunday or on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday.
We celebrate by eating FASTELAVENSBOLLER, a sweet roll filled with whipped cream custard and jam, and sprinkled with icing sugar.
Here you see Inger Marie and Malin at "Romsøe- bakery" with the yummy stuff!
wow , it looks yummy ,who can resist to such beautiful smiles :)
ReplyDeleteI cheated big time this year and have already enjoyed five semlor as we call them.
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me! Norway is a long way to go get some, though. :-(
ReplyDeleteThis is an informative post with a nice photo of two cute girls. The rolls seems awfully sweet. I think I will just eat part of one.
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of this festivity. That sweet is similar to one we have in Spain and we call bamba.
ReplyDeleteYummy stuff indeed Gunn, I could eat one right now..even though it is almost midnight haha!
ReplyDeleteWould it be OK if I celebrated Fastelaven every day between Easter and Lent? I'll bet Inger and Malin would give me the OK!
