Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

A "leopard snail".
I thought that these were "good" snails, as they are supposed to eat other snails.
But I just found out that they are also heavy eaters of young plants.
beautiful specimen :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting markings, I guess a little slower than a proper Leopard... but probably less likely to be turned into a coat!
ReplyDeleteSo are they cannibals or vegetarians?
ReplyDeleteYes I think it's a fact, snails are not good for young seedlings. I've not seen one quite so clearly as this before Gunn.
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I don't know if we have these 'leopards' here.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a slug, it does not travel around with its own little house. Slugs are really not at all friend to the gardener.
