Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

To me this is quite a unique old house.
Nice, and also built in a different style to most wooden white villas.
The red, white and green paint job is dramatic, isn't it? The style and shape of the house are familiar -- in fact, the house I loved in from birth to four years old is similar -- but definitely not the colors.
Not so much here in Australia Gunn, but have seen pictures like this in European countries. I like it, the top bit almost looks like the shape of a barn oui!
Wonderful... many thanks for sharing it..
ReplyDeleteyes, it reminds me of "colonial style" homes I've seen in the USA! lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful in a Norse kind of way! :-) I like it very much but it's not something you would be likely to find in Florida!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting roof shapes. It's almost a modified barn roof style. The colors of green/red/white look very Christmassy. :) Lovely home.
ReplyDeleteIt looks rather like a home in northeastern America.
ReplyDeleteLike Lois, I recognize the roof as a barn shape (I'm from the Midwestern US). But I've never seen a barn painted with "Christmas colors!"
ReplyDeleteThis is a very beautiful house indeed :)

ReplyDeleteSort of... interesting roof design there and window layout on the 2nd floor.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours! Beautiful house.

ReplyDeleteNot the kind of house you see around here, but the colors are definitely Italian. A coincidence,,,
ReplyDeleteThe green is surprising! But I like it!
