Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

Last week we had a big event in Stavanger, "The Tall Ships Races". This guy played a type of Pan flute, not a common instrument here up in the north of Europe. It was beautiful!
I hope you will answer Leif and Lois, Gunn. I also thought he looked and dressed like an American Indian, and I was wondering if Norway has similar native people up north.
He looks like a Native American Indian! Was he visiting from Minnesota?

This is great Gunn!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a Sami person from Northern Norway perhaps? They are very much like our Eskimos and Native Americans.

ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting costume he's wearing Gunn, where is he from? I love the music from the pan flutes.
ReplyDeleteWhile i agree that the clothes look like those of an American Indian, I believe that he was from Peru.
ReplyDeleteSami costumes are very different. You can find out more about the Sami people up in the north, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sami_people
