Tonight we celebrate "Midsummernight". For us it means BBQ and bonfires.
Click on the word after labels, under this text and you will see what I mean.
This is one of our Poppy flowers. Fascinating details inside, and so colorful!
We just hope we will have real summer soon.
How do you celebrate Midsummernight?
Pretty, pretty colors! I love the fuzzy texture too!
ReplyDeleteSo do we, bonfires, fireworks, the whole shebang. Tomorrow is a holiday here, but as I will be getting up at 6 to go to work...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat, dramatic colors. Midsummer? No celebrations here. We have Independence Day coming up in a week or so, on the Fourth of July, and that is the big celebration of the summer.
ReplyDeleteIncredible macro. Wish we had a celebration for the solstice. Long days make me happy. Conversely, short days bring on the blues.
ReplyDeletevery nice macro :)
ReplyDeleteI wish we did...
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, with a starfish like centre.
When this rain stops, I will. hahahaha
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo. I hope you had a fun celebration. Now it's officially summer. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally missed it. I'll have to make up tonight.
ReplyDeleteLovely macro work Gunn, and your picture from Midsummer night is very ethereal looking, very mystical for such a night I think.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun. This flower is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Fantastic macro shot.
ReplyDeleteWOW great Photo Gunn! We don't celebrate midsummernight in Germany.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend:)
