Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

As I told you, we have some days with several cruise ships arriving in Stavanger. This is the "back" of "MSC Orchestra." It is huge, and like a floating hotel!
The wooden boat is quite a contrast, but also a very nice contrast.
Cool capture!
ReplyDeleteThe cruise ship is humongous! I like the contrast between the huge modern ship and the small wooden boat. (I greatly prefer the wooden boat.)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Jack; although the cruise ship might be a delightful holiday, I much prefer the small boat.
ReplyDeleteI also love the small, wooden boat! It must have an interesting history!
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast, it is really huge cruise ship !
ReplyDeleteThe two boat styles present a beautiful photo contrast! The larger boat's whiteness creates a great background highlighting the wooden boat!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture Gunn, fabulous spotting on your part. I also prefer the smaller boat, but wouldn't go out to sea in either.
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast indeed! I don't have to think twice, I'm all for the small wooden boat which is, in fact, lovely. Great composition, Gunn.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen the MSC Orchestra in Livorno, but her sister ship MSC Sinfonia is quite at home here.
ReplyDeleteNice composition Gunn and love the contrasting boats.
ReplyDeleteI am with Jack, JM and leif in that I too love the small wooden craft, thats my kind of sailing.
