We don't have any soccer teams. We do have American Football Teams. Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful1 Here in Stockholm we have two rival teams: AIK and Djurgården.
ReplyDeleteCold and stormy here too.
Minnesota is not known as a hotbed of soccer in the United States, yet the land of 10,000 does have a rich soccer past. Kicks, Strikers and Thunder are names synonymous with Minnesota soccer. When I taught school, a colleague of mine, Buzz Lagos helped develop The Thunder. One of his sons, Manny Lagos, was on one of the Olympic Soccer team...shamefully, I don't recall the year. But, if you're talking American football, the Green Bay Packers...hands down. The MN Vikings cannot compare with the Packers...4X Super Bowl champs. I live in a divided household; my family roots for the Vikings, but my hometown team, Green Bay Packers, claims my allegiance.
ReplyDeleteWEll here in Alabama we don't have a soccer team but we do have a famous football team, Auburn University. I'm an Auburn graduate and very proud that they won the National Championship this year!!!
