Stavanger is the fourth biggest city in Norway. It is situated on the southwest coast.
My aim is to try to capture something from every day, from the area nearby too, and when I am not at home I will still try to put up a photo from my archive.
Welcome back for another look.

The road to Paradis, - well actually the railway tracks from Paradis.
This is the first stop after the main railway station in Stavanger.
This is a fairly new station, and I think it looks pretty with the blue lighting.
That's an interesting city name! But even more noteworthy is "Hell", a town outside of Trondheim if my memory serves me correctly. I had fun telling people that I had been through "Hell." (And to "Hell" and back).
Thanks to Kjell Bakken in Oslo, I got the name of the artist who have decorated the wall. Anna Sigmond Gudmundsdottir, Do take a look at her site at http://www.gudmundsdottir.com
I agree. Any idea what the significance of the mural is?

ReplyDeleteI like that blue light. Nice Shot!
ReplyDeleteThis is very nice!!
ReplyDeleteThe blue light contrasting with the yellow stripes is very appealing.
ReplyDeleteA very good image. It is fun how every city or place has somewhere a 'Paradis' or something like that.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow and the blue really work in this shot.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful but aren't those the colors of Sweden?
ReplyDeleteI also like the painting on the left side wall. Very nice photo!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great pic of a very nice station.
ReplyDeleteLEIF, you are right; we do have a place in Norway with the name HELL.
ReplyDeleteand B SQUARED, blue and yellow are typical Swedish and the colors of their flag.
I also like the blue. It wouldn't be the same without it. On the other side of the tracks--is that graffiti or a mural?
