Yesterday I showed you a photo of a brick house, today I will show you something different.
These houses are out on an island called Vassøy, just 15 minutes from the centre by ferry.
I would recommend anyone visiting our city to take the ferry over, and go for a stroll and take a look for themselves. It is a very beautiful place and feels like being in the countryside.
Hei Gunn - Underbart foto! Sakert mye dyra hus pa Vassoy eller hur? Vilken fin stelle! Hilsen fra Hagen
ReplyDeletenice to see Stavanger trough someone else eyes, Tanty is doing a great job.
ReplyDeleteHello and welcome! Thank you for your comment! You're taking me back a bit, I stayed a couple of nights in Stavanger in 2000 and loved it!
ReplyDeletebeautiful place!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments.
ReplyDeleteTo Leif I will say; yes, I guess the prices for houses like this are higher than the average house near the "oil capital" (which is a nickname for Stavanger, since many of the oil companies have offices here.)
Most people can not afford big houses like this.
Very beatiful. I love the architecture.
ReplyDeleteWow. Those are fabulous mansions! I can imagine that the property prices on this little island must be fantastic too.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm late, but welcome to the CDPB community! Based on your photos, Stavanger seems to be such a mixed, vibrant city! With a big city's problems too, unfortunately.
Happy photoblogging!
Thanks J.B and Hilda. I promise to post more photos of arcitecture.
