Sometimes there are so many things happening at the same time, and it is impossible to do or take part in half of what I want..... Well, I made sure yesterday that I went to http://www.stavanger-kulturhus.no/kapittel where I listened to, and met, one of my favorite Norwegian writers, TOVE NILSEN, who also signed one of her books that I am actually reading just now, and I was therefore still carrying it around in my bag :)

Who is your favorite author?

Great photo with a natural smile. I think this has only happened to me once, and it was Martin Carthy, a famous British folk musician, who signed my copy of one of his albums, on tape, I think. Favourite author - that's difficult - C.S Lewis (Narnia, Out of the Silent Planet, Mere Christianity) perhaps.

Beautiful lady! As to the favourite author question, that's a difficult one, but I can tell you I love south american literature and Gabriel Garcia Marquez is on top of that list.

The other day Stavanger came to my mind when I got this e-mail with a pps attachement showing the Preikestolen. :-)

What a warm portrait, just right for a writer! Picking a favorite author is like picking a favorite child. I just can't do it. But, I have recently read good serious books by Pat Conroy and Stephen Carter, and any time I want to escape with a good fast-read mystery, I look for Harlan Coben or Randy Wayne White.

No favorite authors recently, but I spent a great summer some years ago in the world of Patrick O'Brian. I love the travel writing of Bill Bryson and Paul Theroux.

My favorite author is Nabokov. I would have loved to meet him if he were still alive. Lucky you you got to meet one of your favorite writers! :) What is her book about?
