If you ask a Norwegian person what type of books most people read around Easter time, I guess the answer will be crime novels, with lots of twists in the plot....
There are many people in front of fireplaces, at home, or perhaps traveling by plane or train sitting reading. I think this is typical Norwegian.
Anyway, this is a "TOP 10" range of popular books at the moment.

Let's try this again. What one reads tends to be different, place to place. Colorful selections too.
I can't stand Läckberg. I enjoy Theorin's books. And Cormac's novel is amazing. And what about Shantaram! Fantastic.
My favorite kind of books!
Shantaram... Amazing book! Best read in Mumbai, of course. Happy Easter, and good read!
I don't know much about these books and authors, I have to check some of them. Interesting selection and good idea for a post...
I want them all -but not in Norwegian. French, German or English will all do!
Happy Easter Gunn and enjoy them!
I wish you Gunn and your husband a Happy Easter from Berlin:-)
Of this pile, I have only read the Cormac McCarthy. It's nice to know that Norwegians are avid readers. Unfortunately, Italians are not!
I am reading The Road at the moment, and I would certenly like to read Shantaram... But I'm more the fantasy-type of reader, and prefer Inkspell or Lord of the Rings in stead of crime novels:)
I discovered Norwegian mysteries recently and I must say it is a nice find!!!!
but we have to wait for translations!!!
Hi!! I was wondering if I could use the image of the books for a digital storytelling project I have for the university. Please let me know!!
Thanks Niki for asking.
You are welcome to use the image.
